How to Plan a Business Website That Brings Enquiries

Many business websites look good but bring very few enquiries. The reason is usually not the design — it is the planning. A website that brings leads is built around what your visitors want to know and the one action you want them to take.

Start with your visitors, not your pages

Before thinking about colours or layouts, write down who visits your website and why. A new customer comparing options needs different information from an existing customer looking for support. List the three to five questions people ask you most often on calls and WhatsApp — your website should answer each of them clearly.

Decide the main action for every page

Every page should guide visitors towards one clear next step: call, send a WhatsApp message, book a consultation or request a quote. When a page offers too many choices, visitors often choose none of them.

  • Home page: explain what you do and who you help, then invite an enquiry
  • Service pages: describe the problem you solve, how it works and what to do next
  • Contact page: make it quick — name, phone number and an optional message

Keep forms short

Ask only for what you need to start a conversation. A name and a phone number is often enough. You can collect the rest of the details on the first call.

Build trust on every page

Show real photos of your work, your team or your office where you can, explain your process step by step and add answers to common questions. Clear, honest information builds more trust than big claims.

Make it fast and mobile-friendly

Most visitors will see your website on a phone. Pages should load quickly, text should be easy to read without zooming and buttons should be large enough to tap. Test the site on a few different phones before launch.

Plan for search from day one

Give each service its own page with a clear title and description, use the words your customers actually search for and set up Google Search Console at launch. It is much easier to plan for SEO now than to fix it later.
